The new technology has given me a strong interest in learning. I was influenced by the mainstream art thoughts of China in the 1990s. The first creation combined with the new technology is a series of related works. This brings me a lot of major topics: models and textures. A series of technical and fine arts science issues, such as binding, hair clothing, lighting rendering, synthesis, etc., need to be replenished. This is seventeen years. Until today, I have to pay attention to new software, new production ideas, and attention every day. A new form that emerges in an endless stream.

The creative process is very rough, and the production ideas are entirely on their own, and they waste a lot of time. Also limited by equipment, it is always struggling in the long standby period, and it is destined to achieve the ideal state of high precision.

In the past ten years of this retreat study, I have been constantly reflecting on it, first confirming the value of new technology, and then raised several important questions: Why is it that it is not fun to create a piece of art nowadays, what is art, is art a shape?

Digital Sculpture

Three-dimensional technology, I first learned from the movie "Star Wars." In this movie, George Lucas pioneered computer effects. The film has not only achieved great success but also influenced a generation and even become a culture, from which 3D technology has become popular.

The innovation of modeling technology is unstoppable. Starting from the film and television industry, new technologies have greatly improved work efficiency and reduced production costs, and gradually penetrated into various fields of modeling. As a result, conservative traditional crafts advocates are very disgusted with 3D animation technology. One piece of advice: "We don't have time to think about right or wrong. We don't have time to remember the past. Only by constantly moving forward to keep up with the times will we not be eliminated by the times."

The three-dimensional shape is very convenient and labor-saving. The invention of Zbrush's software makes the digital engraving popular all over the world. Without professional training, anyone can make their own favorite sculpture. Sculpture production is no longer expensive, and it can easily express a lot of detail. The cost of 3D printing has been getting lower and lower recently, and digital works can be easily restored to solid sculptures, and the wider use of this new technology has just begun.
